Burgundy stripe Purepecha rebozo from Michoacán

This is an outstanding burgundy stripe  rebozo with silk fringe and from Michoacán, Mexico. These come from a Purepecha artisan from Michoacan. This Burgundy stripe Purepecha rebozo from Michoacán is a traditional style of rebozo that has been produced for many years. This is woven on a back strap loom by hand. The material is cotton with a bit of gold metallic in the stripe. This takes 1 month to make. The fringe is silk on each end. The artists call this a rebozo with ‘flowers’.
